"Not really worth the monthly price"
I gave Poptin a try for my site, but it didn’t feel worth the monthly cost. The basic features worked fine, but nothing really stood out enough to justify paying for it every month. I also ended up waiting in a support queue longer than I expected, which was frustrating. Cancelled it quickly...

"Poptin works well overall, and I was able..."
Poptin works well overall, and I was able to make my popups look decent. The design customization just felt a bit restricted to me. Maybe I missed something, but it almost feels like they keep some flexibility tucked away on purpose so you stick closer to their templates. I got it looking okay in the end, just not exactly how I pictured without spending more time tweaking things than I wanted

"I was able to find some answers in..."
I was able to find some answers in the docs, but a few parts made me feel a bit misled. It looked like the steps were all there, then I’d get halfway through and realize something important was missing or not explained clearly. They’re okay overall, but they could definitely be more straightforward.

"Live chat felt way too slow"
I tried using the live chat, but the replies took forever and when they finally came through, they weren’t all that helpful. it made me a bit suspicious that I wasn’t even talking to someone who actually understood the issue.

"Decent tool, but privacy settings could be easier to find"
poptin has been okay for creating popups and forms, and getting things set up wasn’t too complicated. I do appreciate that it includes GDPR-friendly options like consent checkboxes and some cookie/privacy controls 🙂

That said, a few of the privacy settings felt kind of tucked away, and I had to click around to figure out what data was being collected and where to change things. I think it would feel a lot better if those options were more obvious and straightforward. Overall, not bad, just average for me.

"Easy to use, even when I was mentally drained"
I was feeling mentally drained, so I really appreciated how simple everything was. The layout was clean, and I found what I needed quickly without having to think too much

"Too many missing features for what I needed"
I gave Poptin a try for a few popups on my site, it was a bit disappointing. It worked in a basic sense, sure, but I kept running into things I expected to be available that either weren’t there or were set up in a way that made the whole process more annoying than it needed to be.

The editor was fine enough, but the targeting rules, design options, and reporting all felt limited for what I was trying to do. I don’t mind figuring things out, but constantly hitting small restrictions and needing workarounds got old fast. Politely speaking, it just wasn’t worth sticking with, so I moved on after testing it for a short time.

"I’ve been using Poptin with my Shopify..."
I’ve been using Poptin with my Shopify store and Mailchimp, and the setup was straightforward. Most of the integrations worked fine without much hassle, which definitely saves me time. That said, after one update I had to reconnect something, and it made me a bit hesitant about trusting it to just keep running in the background. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it did make me keep a closer eye on things than I expected. Overall, it does what I need and the compatibility is solid, so I’d give it 4 stars.

"I really wanted to like poptin, and..."
I really wanted to like poptin, and it seemed useful at first, lol. But once I looked closer at the pricing, the jump between plans felt steep for what I actually needed, especially with some basic features sitting in higher tiers.

It might make more sense for bigger sites or teams, but as a smaller user, it just felt like too much. I ended up canceling and looking for something a little simpler and more affordable.

"The popups were kind of all..."
The popups were kind of all over the place for me. Sometimes they showed up late, and other times it just didn’t happen at all. Not sure if it was that setting or something else, but it was frustrating.

"Could use newer templates"
Was hoping for more good template options, but most feel outdated. Wish there were more modern designs to choose from...

"Autoresponder was a letdown"
I mainly got Poptin because I needed the autoresponder, but it was frustrating. Some emails just didn’t go out, and setting it up felt way more confusing than it should’ve been. Support also took a while to get back to me. The popup features might be okay, but the autoresponder just wasn’t reliable in my experience

"Exit intent works really well"
I’ve been impressed with how accurately it catches when someone is about to leave. I don’t think any exit intent tool is going to be perfect 100% of the time, but this one feels fair to judge because it’s been consistently on point in my experience

"onboarding was Confusing"
I tried setting up Poptin and the onboarding didn’t really help me much. the steps felt kind of all over the place, and the tutorials were super basic, like they skipped over the stuff I actually needed. I ended up just clicking around trying to figure it out myself, which was frustrating. not the best first impression.

"Display targeting is decent"
The targeting options are fine overall, they get the job done, but I do wish there was a bit more control when choosing specific pages.

"Email integrations are decent, not perfect"
It does work with Mailchimp, so that's a plus... but the setup felt a little clunky to me. Got it working in the end, just wasn't super smooth

"I’m not super technical, but Poptin..."
I’m not super technical, but Poptin was easy for me to set up. Editing the popups felt straightforward, and I liked being able to see my changes right away. I did have to poke around a bit to find a couple settings, so maybe it could be a little clearer, but it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, I’d say it works well and probably saves me a decent amount of time.

"Slowed my site down, and the emails confused me"
I tried adding Poptin to my site, but quickly the pages started feeling slower, especially on mobile. What confused me more was that the email said one thing, but my actual experience on the site felt totally different. Once I removed it, everything seemed to go back to normal. Just wasn’t worth the speed hit for me...

"Setup was okay, though a little confusing"
I got poptin installed eventually, but it did take me a bit longer than I expected. It wasn’t exactly difficult, though I’m not sure I followed everything in the docs the right way since some parts felt a little unclear. Once I got through the setup, it seemed to work fine.

"Pretty decent for forms, but it needs some patience"
I’ve been using Poptin mostly to create contact forms, and overall it does the job. The builder isn’t too hard to understand, which I appreciated, but am I the only one who thinks some parts feel a little clunky? I had to spend more time than expected adjusting spacing and moving fields around to get things looking right. For basic forms, it’s definitely good enough, but I was kind of hoping the process would feel a bit smoother.
